Worry Free cancellation options 

Option 1) $50 per person basic worry free allows you to cancel up to 3 days prior to departure with a full refund in the form of a Sunwing travel credit. 

Option 2) $100 per person enhances worry free allows you to cancel up to 3 hours prior to departure with a full refund in the form of a Sunwing travel credit.

PRE-DEPARTURE CANCELLATION AND CHANGE

Sunwing’s Worry Free coverage plan (“Worry Free Plan”) allows you to make either one change or cancel your Sunwing travel plans up to 72 hours prior to your scheduled departure time from Canada for any reason, except for no shows or denied boarding.

The Worry Free Plan must be purchased within 48 hours of booking. Changes or cancellations cannot be made once you have departed from Canada. Name changes are not permitted. If you change your travel plans, you must pay the difference if the price of your re-booked vacation is higher and you will not be refunded if the price is lower. Please note that if the number of people occupying a room changes, the remaining travellers will be responsible for any additional costs incurred as a result of changes in the per person occupancy rate.

The cost for the Worry Free Plan is non-refundable. Subject to certain conditions, you’ll be compensated for the price of your vacation through a combination of Sunwing travel vouchers and/or partial refunds. The percentage of travel vouchers vs. refunds will vary depending on how far in advance of departure the trip is cancelled. Worry Free Plan is only applicable to Sunwing packages with Sunwing Airlines as the carrier (excluding cruises) and air only flights on board Sunwing Airlines. Worry Free Plan cancellations or changes are not applicable to cruise packages, hotel only, stand alone ancillary product purchases or any packages or flights where Sunwing airlines is not the carrier. The amount calculated in the cancellation fees according to the time period of your cancellation date and departure date, will be the amount returned as a Sunwing travel voucher.

Sunwing travel vouchers may be used like cash when purchasing a new Sunwing vacation package or air only booking. Travel vouchers are valid for one year from their issue date, are non-transferable (issued only in the name of the passenger who cancelled) and may not be redeemed for cash. Travel vouchers may be redeemed toward a new booking made after the travel voucher’s issue date and by the expiry date, though travel can be for a future date. A 10 day waiting period from issuance is required before a voucher may be redeemed. Bookings with travel vouchers applied are subject to our standard terms and conditions.

A $20 per person surcharge applies to Worry Free purchases for departures and travel taking place between December 19, 2023 to January 5, 2024. Restrictions apply for groups of 10 or more people. Please contact the Sunwing groups sales team for further details.

To make a change to your existing booking or to cancel your vacation prior to your departure, please call 1-866-388-9387 or contact your travel agent. If you are requesting a cancellation outside of regular business hours and can’t contact your travel agent, please call 1-866-388-9387.

We strongly recommend that you protect your vacation investment by purchasing an insurance policy. We sell Manulife insurance products exclusively and we recommend the Premium Protection Plan for wedding guests as it has the best cancellation coverage available. While most cancellation policies have a list of covered reasons that you have to fall under for full coverage, this policy will cover you for cancellation for ANY reason that you were not aware of at the time of booking, so this could include incidents such as the death of a pet of the wedding being cancelled which are not covered under most policies. This policy also has an added Cancel for any Reason coverage which would provide 80% coverage for cancellation for any reason so this would cover events that you already knew about at the time of booking (such as covid travel restrictions) or if you just change your mind and don't want to go. This is an all inclusive policy which also includes unlimited trip interruption, lost/stolen/delayed baggage and 10 million dollars in emergency medical coverage.
